I will dominate 'credible boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually happening.
